The recently imposed fine has been introduced as many local residents have made their anger known throughout the years as wealthy Middle Easterners have been flooding London's street with their custom luxury cars and supercars.

Passed by the local council of Kensignton and Chelsea, the law states that local drivers can no longer rev their engines, race on the streets, accelerate rapidly, cause obstructions, sound their horns or perform 'stunts'. They are not allowed to leave the engine running of a stationary car too.

As many of the motorists being targeted by the order are foreign residents, the council has the power to contact their local embassy to enforce the fines with the possibility of further action being taken with their local driving authorities.

Good to see that such stupidity is not restricted to Singapore.

I mean stupidity on the part of the gahmen and police agencies, of course.

We should target bikers who like to rev their engines @ pedestrian crossings.

Bloody irritating.

  • Carpark Review: Junction 8

Built in the 1980s, Bishan (or Bishan New Town) may not be one of the earliest housing estates in Singapore, but it was the first whose HDB architecture saw a departure from the more brutalist designs of the past and featured more variation in height and design.  Residents are primarily served by Junction 8, which opened in 1993. Now more than 30 years old, it remains the sole mall in the Bishan East area. Driving there? Here’s our quick review of the carpark.  Manoeuvrability: T
