London starts issuing fines to drivers who rev their engines
Boyracers and rich foreigners who misbehave on London's roads will be facing fines of up to £1,000 (S$2,140) according to Carscoops. The recently imposed fine has been introduced as many local residents have made their anger known throughout the years as wealthy Middle Easterners have been flooding London's street with their custom luxury cars and supercars.
Passed by the local council of Kensignton and Chelsea, the law states that local drivers can no longer rev their engines, race on the streets, accelerate rapidly, cause obstructions, sound their horns or perform 'stunts'. They are not allowed to leave the engine running of a stationary car too.
As many of the motorists being targeted by the order are foreign residents, the council has the power to contact their local embassy to enforce the fines with the possibility of further action being taken with their local driving authorities.
