Can you drift a Nissan Leaf?
Can a Nissan Leaf ever drift properly like its popular old relative, the Nissan 180SX? Yes you can according to Autocar U.K. With plastic tyres of course.
Shot at Anglesy circuit where a drift competition was happening at the same time, the crew strapped on a pair of a Easydrift plastic tyres that allowed the rear of the electric car to lose traction. And voila! the car drifts, or sort of.
While the recently upgraded Leaf (maximum range is now 250km, up from 200km) is one of the last car you will want to drift in, it is still pretty amusing to watch a EV do a silent, non-smoky drift.
