Norway to stop sales of petrol and diesel car by 2025
When the news that Norway is planning to ban the sales of petrol and diesel cars by 2025, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk was quick to share with the world the news via his twitter account, reported CNBC.
According to Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, Norway’s four main political parties have agreed to stop sales of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles in 2025. However, the ban is not confirm yet as representatives from two parties saying that they hadn’t agreed on the rule.
That did not stop Musk from tweeting in excitement, "Just heard that Norway will ban sales of fuel cars by 2025. What an amazingly awesome country. You guys rock!!"
While the ban for cars with internal combustion engines is very harsh, it should be less painful for citizens there as compared to us as around 24 percent of the car population already run on electricity.
