The driver was said to be playing Pokemon Go. Unfortunately, one of the ladies, aged 72, died at the scene with a broken neck while the other, aged 60, was diagnosed with a fractured hip.

Quoting from the article, it is Japan's 79th accident related to the wildly popular game which was introduced in the country on 22nd of July this year.

The 39-year old farmer admitted that he was playing the game when the accident happened and was not paying attention to what was happening on the road. The company behind the game, Niantic Inc., has since expressed their condolences to the family of the woman who lost her life.
