Police arrest thief by requesting BMW to lock him up remotely
According to Bmwblog, Seattle police managed to catch a thief who stole a BMW 550i by calling on BMW, which locked him up remotely in the car until the police arrived.
The crime was committed last Sunday and when the owner realised his car had been stolen, he called the police. The police, which knew BMW had the ability to lock the car remotely, alerted BMW immediately. The car is believed to be locked with the help of the internet connectivity.
When the police reached the car, the thief tried to drive away but was eventually arrested and now faces auto theft and drug possession charges.
