Here's how a Nissan Patrol manage to go faster than Hammond's Porsche 918
For those who had watched The Grand Tour, you would have remember Richard Hammond drag racing a Porsche 918 Spyder against a Nissan Patrol which he lost.
In the race, the normal-looking Patrol SUV managed to walk away from the 887bhp hypercar and the guys in the show did not reveal how the large SUV did it.
To find out the answer, the crew at 1320 Video recently took a trip to Dubai to check out this insane Patrol and the work that has gone into making it as fast as it is.
For those who are too lazy to watch the full clip, we can reveal that the Patrol uses a full Nissan GT-R VR38 drivetrain that includes a stroked out 4.1-litre engine that lifts power to more than 1900bhp.
