All new Volkswagen Polo spotted without camouflage
This appears to be the all new Volkswagen Polo and it has been spotted recently in South Africa without a shred of camouflage.
Spotted on the net via Cars.co.za, the car looks larger than the one being replaced. Details of the car remains scarce but it is expected to be based on the new MQB-A0 platform and will get a range of newly updated engines, including a new 1.5-litre TSI petrol turbo unit that will have 128bhp or 148bhp. A smaller 1.0-litre three cylinder petrol turbo will also be made available with multiple power ratings of 64bhp, 74bhp, 94bhp and 113bhp.
The engines mentioned will be paired with a 7 speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Inside, the new Polo will be better built and is likely to feature a digital instrument display, large touchscreen infotainment screen and a wide array of active safety systems.
The supermini is scheduled to debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
