Surprised it took them the whole of 36 hours to edit the video properly !

inefficient propaganda editing people working behind the scenes. :P

they could at least edited it fast enough to make it seem more real.

That's nothing, at least NK is a totalitarian regime.

Headline on front page of the New York Post day after the US-England match:

USA WINS 1-1

Reckon no one can verify if this is real or fake unless someone who just returned from north korea happen to see it. Chances of finding that person is very slim.

If that is what NK TV really showed, then the propoganda guy never think long term. What if NK never score against Portugal or Ivory Coast? How to fake another victory? Can't be they only played one game at the World Cup again Brazil right? What about the elimination stages?

I suspect this is one of those spoof video with fake subtitles like those of Hitler losing his temper.

they have no need to think long term or make any sense

if they can declare that their dear leader can shoot 5 hole in ones in a game of golf, i dont see why they cant win the world cup.

if they fail to score against portugal or IC, very simple, just dont broadcast anything!

they dont owe their people any broadcast, and nobody will question it

Maybe only a handful know about the World Cup??? They have more important issues like filling up their tummies...

They can always say that they draw with protugal and IC. Than they win on aggregate score + goal difference. Than end of world cup. They can conviniently leave out the part of the elimination section. After all, they can create their own version of the World Cup, league version.

NK do send teams to the Olympics and they have limited (albeit pirated) WC broadcasts, so I don't think their people are suakoo to that extent.

The video itself already have elements of satire, like how all the spectators at home are all army personnel and the need to announce Kim Il-Jong (sic) visiting a biscuit factory tomorrow. It is also funny how they show the Brazillian goals but cut at the critical moment. A proper edit job would just leave them out all together. Better still just show some legit misses.

The guy who did the video did a good job in demonstrating how people in the free world can be blinded by their own stereotypes and propoganda to become bigger mindless zombies than the North Koreans.

North Korean Soccer Coach Talks to 'Dear Leader' Via Invisible Phone

Hundreds of Chinese Hired to Root for North Korea at World Cup

By RUSSELL GOLDMAN

June 17, 2010

The North Koreans know a thing or two about secret programs, and the country's latest claim is a mysterious phone that allows Dear Leader Kim Jong-il help coach the team from afar.

North Korean manager Kim Jong-Hun reportedly gets coaching advice directly from the country's diminutive dictator via an invisible cell phone.

According to ESPN.com the coach has claimed he gets "regular tactical advice during matches" from Jong Il "using mobile phones that are not visible to the naked eye."

"Jong Il is said to have developed the technology himself," coach told ESPN.com.
