3G routers with embedded 3G chipsets i.e. inbuilt simcard slot

1. Huawei B683

2. Huawei E355 (Very very compact)

There are many routers that accept the USB sticks( the modem that came with the mobile 3G sim card)

Just go to the cyber computer shops and ask for such modems. No need to go simlim or look for huawei specifically.

Around $60 can get already.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

Anyone using mobile router during overseas travel?

meaning, just get a overseas local SIM card, put it inside the mobile router and use it for your mobile phone data connection?

Any recommendation?

Thank you

actually before I went japan, I googled and found that their Telco also offers his sim card + device service for rent.

but it may differ from Telco to Telco and country to country.

But was think to just get one so that whenever I reach any foreign country, can just get a pre-paid SIM card with data plan.
