Ok It is time to renew my car insurance. Firstly my car is on its last year liao 9 years old. Next renewal on 30 Apr with 30% NCD, currently with NTUC income.

If I renew with NTUC income again.
drivo CLASSIC Plus

No excess and amount $$1,256.10

If I renew with AXA

Smartdrvie premium workshop

No excess amount $1127.39 (after 20% citbank disc)

Which one should I choose for more detailed insurance? [confused][idea] [idea]

AXA got cover theft up to $3000 in SG. Others almost the same.

I called axa regarding car mod, they don't insure modded cars same as aviva.

NTUC, heard from mcf, they rejected someone's claim even with right of way.

Something to do with round-about junction.

Good luck with your decision.

is your car still under finance loan? if not you go for 3rd party insurance instead of buying comprehensive. If you are not accident prone (touch wood) and your car is left only 1 year to go assuming without finance loan. Just go for 3rd party insurance will do. Should save you alot. And 3rd party one is cheaper than any other comprehensive insurance premium. This is just my opinion, is still up to your own to decide.

Got once a car reverse onto me, I claim her 100%, no issue with ntuc income. My car only rims are changed, the stock rims are cast iron ones. I doubt AXA will void the insurance.

Fully paid up. But I still prefer comprehensive for a piece of mind

I got the cheapest insurance from Oliver......

Agreed, have been with them for many years, better than most and very efficient with their own w/shop in AMK.

I am on AXA, claimed windscreen repair last year twice for small crack hit by flying stone.

What surprise me for both time repair, they paid me cash $50 through WS upon repaired for not changing the whole windscreen.

Renew my insurance with them again and no increase in premium. Actually it was slightly lower for loyalty discount.

My AXA also cover 'act of God's damage. Eg. Flooding, falling tree etc..

I guess its a risk you have to take. My family have been using 3rd party only for our past 3 cars from the day they were bought. Now my own car also on 3rd party only. Saved alot already. Amount we saved have gone in to respraying the cars occasionally when there are too many dents and scratches and the 2 incidents where someone hit our car and ran and still spent less than what we saved.

How much your 3rd party insurance? And from which insurance company?

Can save half the premium! That's good to hear that

39 yrs old male driver with 50% NCD, my comprehensive insurance cost me $600.

I don't mind paying $300 for 3rd party.
