BPL 2014/2015 - Transfer Talks

Recommended Posts

OK, this weekends will be the last BPL matches for 13/14 season.

It might be a bit early but rumours had been going around and so let me start early ..... [smash]

ESPN news: Liverpool eye Lallana, Cole's new home, and MLS, too

Checking in with another installment of ESPN FC's Transfer Talk, your one-stop shop for all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from other news outlets.

Liverpool like Lallana a lot

The fight for Adam Lallana escalated Thursday with
Sky Sports reporting that Liverpool hope to sign the Southampton midfielder before the World Cup begins.

Lallana, who turns 26 this week, had primarily been linked to Manchester United, and said Tuesday he'd like to stay at Southampton, where he's been since age 12. But Liverpool may now swoop in with what
The Sun calls a 20-million-pound offer.

The transfer window does not officially open until July 1, but Liverpool may be looking for a deal beforehand if they like Lallana to have a breakout World Cup for England.

Where will Ashley Cole land?

Ashley Cole
may know his days at Chelsea are running out, but that doesn't mean he's not wanted elsewhere. Manchester City have now joined the race for the 33-year-old defender, writes
The Mirror, along with Liverpool, Man United and Real Madrid. City, who are rich enough to buy just about anyone, are desperate for Englishmen to meet UEFA regulations. Meanwhile, The Express says Cole already has a two-year offer from Monaco in Ligue 1. If Cole is looking for a big final payday, he could do worse than playing in a principality without income tax.

Odds and ends

PSG have told Chelsea and Manchester United that
Edinson Cavani is not for sale.

Fabio Borini said he wouldn't mind staying put at Sunderland, either.

Arsenal will
grin and bear it if Bacary Sagna decides he must leave the Gunners.

About those
Sergio Aguero-to-Barcelona rumours that Leo Messi rubbished Thursday? The Express says it will cost clubs 57 million pounds to drag Aguero away from the Etihad.

Who doesn't want Fulham's teen tandem of Patrick Roberts and Moussa Dembele? Apparently all of England's biggest clubs are asking, but the Cottagers will start them if they stay on, reports
The Daily Mail.

Yesterday, we told you of Leicester's dilemma with players jumping ship. Now The Express says St Etienne winger Max Gradel may be the solution.

Yalor, if we have got them, we would have wrapped up title long time ago :D

Hopefully, the lure of playing at Anfield on a European night with huge banners accompanying YNWA song, will attract the best talents to Pool :)

Bro picnic damn fast hand lol

The battle for Shaw has begun.

£27m bid for Luke Shaw from United, here comes a bidding war - Chelsea Liverpool City also extremely interested, he's a huge Chelsea fan

Btw, A$hley Cole put an end to his International career after Woy snubbed him from WC squad. Not even on standby list.

No worry Cole, you are in good company of Carrick and England future midfield maestro Cleverly.

Now the question is will Suarez leave Pool?!

The answer is will Real Madrid come in with £100m bid.

No more £70m as Pool qualify for UCL

If it is really 100 mill, would you want Pool to sell LS?

I am in half-hearted mind.

100 mil pounds is freaking alot of money that can buy 3-4 quality players.

But losing him may mean we lost a 30+ goal machine....

What a dilemma

Pool only offer £20m for Luke Shaw ....

and another £20m for Lallana ... -_-

Barca might come in with a higher bid to partnet with Messi.... [sly]

Now the question is will Suarez leave Pool?!

Yes... if some club offer £350,000 per week salary (better than Rooney £300,000/- per week) .... :D

Suarez holds the key. Effectively, his "release" clause triggered and if he wants to go, we can't hold him.

If he goes, I believe Pool have replacements in placed. This is a contingency plan they drawn since last summer. However, are the replacements available is another matter.

His goals are not the only thing that is hard to replace. His desire on the field too.

Pool yet to bid for Shaw but I heard cap is £25m.

Suarez will only leave Pool for RM if I understand correctly. If he goes to Spain, he will sure earn more than Rooney.

Don't mean to be a wet blanket or anything, but if shaw and lallana are really soooo good (jay rodriguez also not bad), how come sotong still finish below man u? IIRC they were top five for the first half of the season and then started free falling.....so I am a bit cool towards the lallana thing....I think pool need someone better than him to do well in UCL and make another title run next season...

Southampton lost ground during then lengthy layoff of Wanyama iirc. They didn't really have a squad depth to maintain too. Individually good players but team must gel too. Really not easy to judge how a player will do in a new team, simply too many factors.

Shaw and Lallana are their prized assets and very likely they will be getting quite a tidy sum for both of them. If we compare qualities overseas, they will be overpriced signings. Man U and Pool most likely to foot the bill but there is still a club interested but yet to move on both - Chelsea.
