Use gears to downshift if manual, if not, even auto can engage lower gears to make use of engine brake. Keep hands on steering wheel and keep driving the car. When it has slowed down enough, just pull handbrake I guess?

Edit: Assuming you aren't speeding when there's heavy traffic. Otherwise, good luck.

Maybe Ris Low is in your car.

"Boomz!"

It happened before? So what was the cause? If one of the brake hose gave way, you still have 3 more. The most important ones are the front brakes. I believe the car is still able to gradually come to a stop.

Punch through the floorboard with your legs and let your feet absorb all the frictional drag of the road until your car comes to a stop....oh yeahhhh!!! [grin]

It happened to me before, 1 of the brake hose give way

U can feel spongy brake instantly when u tap brake and car arent slowing down as usual

Signal left and try your best filter to road shoulder, pull over

Go gentle with the brake and use handbrake at the same time

Dont keep going heavy jamming the brake, u will lost even more braking effect as more oil being force out

Last call your prefer mechanic to arrange for tow car, car never safe to drive without brake

Down shifting to lowest gear for engine braking, switch on hazard lights and check blind spots for front and left clearance, immediately filter into road shoulder to display break down sign and call tow truck for assistance towing to workshop.

If impossible to stop depending on scenario.

find barrier, approach with a gentle angle to minimize damage to car.

If have to crash to another car, use the full of the front and full of the rear of the other car.

Increase surface area to minimize shock impact.

Avoid dump trucks as dump trucks don't have bumper.

The first contact point of dump truck to car will most probably be the windscreen already.

If really have to hit dump truck, aim for one of the Tyres then the whole rear.

How I got all these ideas? Because I did plan for in event of brake failure while driving a Toyota

P/S, Just joking about the Toyota, it's more of a rental car.

Just downshift and use engine brake to slow down. Can slow down quite quickly then when at lower speed already start using the handbrake.

last resort, release your rear boot lid and use it as a air brake.

You have successfully given car manufacturers to launch new car [idea] with "Parachute Brakes" in the next 5 years in model renewal and sales development [laugh]

Bump into the car in front. No choice. Then sue the car manufacturer and let insurance handle the damage.

Check first, in case in front is Ferrari, or SP1 number plate!!

Always put an anchor in car, now can throw it out to hook a big tree to stop the car?
