Singapore Airlines pricing error

About 900 long haul Business Class tickets were sold online in Australia for Economy Class prices.

That's an error costing around 3 million dollars.

 

Now SIA are trying to recover this money through Travel Agents or directly from the people who bought the tickets.

Apparently according to Australian law SIA haven't got a leg to stand on.

 

Why don't SIA just accept the error and not cause major problems with their standing as a 'great airline'.

 

Also with the major fall in oil prices has anyone noticed any drop in airline ticket price here?

consumer has to lan lan obey

 

if consumer "accidentally" buy biz seat can anyhow refund and change to economy without penalty?

how long it took to sell 900 seats, how come they never realize earlier [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

This type could be kenna leak out in a forum, then in a short time huge volume of business class purchases. Won't be surprise many are profiteering by bulk purchase.

SQ should bear the cost of misrepresentation. Why go after travel agents or passengers for their own boo-boo?

Not just SQ, last time microsoft also pricing mistake for the office for $15-$20... Then they cancel all our order.

HP also went to court for not honoring pricing mistake for their laser printer, and won.

If this were Amazon, they would have probably graciously accepted their error and allowed those who purchased these tickets to continue as per usual.

Their system don't have integrity checks in place ?

 

 

Evrything also outsourced.

Try calling their call centre.

Better press chinese language than speak to their "English speaking" staff.

Really buay kan. Vomit blood

 

This blunder easily cost s$3m revenue loss.
