You've survived a gym session that was out to kill, but your body keeps up its improved metabolism even outside of the gym. So don't undo all of your hard work with these foods.
1. Nuts

While nuts are high in protein, they're also really high in fat. Be sure to eat them only before your workout. They help to sustain energy and helps you last longer throughout the workout.

Fatty and oily foods like bacon and eggs are a definite no-no after your workout as they slow your metabolism
2. Fatty meats

Fatty meats like bacon and certain cuts of beef can slow down your metabolism rate and cause your body's fat burning ability to slow down.

3. Coffee

That's what caffeine does - refuel you - right? Kind of, but not after a workout - a cuppa will only cause your body to bloat more.

4. Alcohol

Alcohol has the same effect as coffee. Plus, the sugar found in most alcoholic beverages simply undoes all that effort that you put in at the gym.

5. Oily foods

This one's pretty clear. Oily foods slow down your body's digestion rate rapidly. Skip the oils so you don't cancel out the calories you just burned.
