The event was kickstarted by Mr. Ven Nishimura, Chairman of FMJ, who talked about the company's more than 35-year experience in offering Japan holiday tour packages, and the extensive range of activities on offer.
The seminar was also attended by eight special guests from Chitose City (representing the Chitose Tourism Promotion Division, Salmon Hometown Chitose Aquarium, North Snow Land, Chitose Outlet Mall Rera and Chitose Tourist Association), as well as the Vice Mayor of Chitose City, Hokkaido, Mr. Ryuichi Yokota. In his welcome speech, he talked about the various unique attractions on offer in Chitose City. These include the Salmon Hometown Chitose Aquarium, the Kirin Beer Brewery, and the Marukoma Onsen Ryokan, among many others.
Ms. Kazumi Sasaki and Mr. Yuta Abe were also on hand to introduce the Golden Coupon - the Golden Coupon is a special coupon booklet that can be purchased by travellers, which allows them to visit some of the 41 participating attracitons at discounted rates.
The FMJ team were also on hand to introduce the Chitose Fly & Drive package. Unlike traditional tours, the Fly & Drive package offers a unique way to experience Chitose City. Instead of following a tour bus, travellers get to experience some of the best driving roads that Japan has to offer, and can choose to drive one of a wide selection of available cars. Travellers are encouraged to drive at their own pace, and have the luxury of exploring the area with the assistance fo the English language GPS system installed in all cars.
