Held at the historic Southwark Cathedral in London, UK, on Thursday, 5th October 2017, The World's 50 Best Bars awards marked an evening of international celebration; bringing together the best bartending talent from around the globe in a live countdown of the world's top bars and drinking destinations. Joining Tippling Club on this year's list are other worthy Singapore-based contenders - the strongest showing yet - such as Manhattan (number 7), Atlas (number 15), Operation Dagger (number 24), 28 HongKong Street (number 25), and Native (number 47); with American Bar at The Savoy clinching the number one position.
The newly minted honour effectively places Tippling Club as the only establishment in Asia to be ranked amongst three of The World’s 50 Best lists this year - number 27 in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, number 11 in Asia's 50 Best Bars, and now number 31 in The World's 50 Best Bars-owned and organised by William Reed Business Media.
Helmed by chef-owner Ryan Clift, Tippling Club has been putting forth innovative, ultra-progressive cuisine and cocktail pairings to the palates of local gastronomes since 2008. Since the introduction of head bartender Joe Schofield and the inception of the memory-triggering Sensorium Menu in 2016, Tippling Club has been garnering a growing mantel of recent bartending accolades which includes winning Best International Restaurant Bar in the 2017 Spirited Awards and Best Restaurant Bar in The Bar Awards Singapore.
