My Wife's Toyota Altis has been facing several engine problems for almost 18 months. There were cranking noises that could be heard from the engine once it ignites and when it's warming up. As such, the car experienced significant losses in its power and there were strong vibrations that could be felt from the engine. We were determined to have these problems fixed as this car has a very strong sentimental value to my wife as a anniversary gift from me 6 years ago. We hence sent the Altis to the mechanics at Sin Meng and Ubi to fix her car but to no avail.Â
I started to source for another mechanic by going through several forums and websites, hoping to get rid of these persistent problems. Eventually, I managed to narrow down onto 3 workshops namely, River View, Autosave and Hanip. After much considerations, I decided on Hanip due to his vast experience and skill sets as a mechanic, having worked in BM and also, being recognize by Toyota as an award winning Master Technician.Â
I brought her car to Hanip last week and he was friendly and sincere when he first greeted me. He brought the car for a test drive to determine the underlying issues and advised me to leave the car with him to carry out further checks. He was very professional in dealing with the vehicle and assured me of his capabilities and job.Â
I was contacted the next day and informed of the causes and faults of the problems. Hanip was patient to explain that the fault lied on the timing chain area that not well lubricated and that gave rise to the disturbing noise we were experiencing. What came as the greatest surprise to me was when Hanip had discovered that certain areas of the base cover that were covering the timing chain compartment was damaged and grinded by one of the mechanics in Ubi when my wife has sent her car previously after noticing a motor oil leakage last year. This resulted in the huge power loss to her car. He went on to explain that the engine mounting which was replaced only last year was of a sub standard material which was responsible for the vibration whenever the vehicle was in idle mode. In fact, we have spent a sum of more than $2000 while patronizing the mechanics in Ubi and Sin Meng only to face additional problems with her vehicle.Â
Eventually, Hanip did all the necessary repairs to the problems and her car is as good as new as he assured. We experience a smooth and quiet ride each time now. I felt he has done an excellent and professional job in getting rid of those issues. I have also decided to sent my own car to him for maintenance and repairs rather than the mechanics in Ubi and Sin Meng who were completely inefficient and slip shod on their work.

For someone to be able to impress me with their level of professionalism is a rare occasion. Hanip had certainly done so on a monday morning ( before 9 am when he answered to my call of help ) My car battery had died on me and he managed to arrange for a co-partner to attend to my repair within half an hour. When it was time to settle the bill, Hanip said for me to pay to that partner direct. And you know what this means....Hanip is not interested in getting any cut for this job but gladly refer businesses to his fellow partners. To me this implies that Hanip is a man of integrity and believes strongly in the business of referrals. I will going back to him next week for a full service, so will my colleagues and friends as I intend to blow his trumpet on his behalf.

Can tell the enthusiasm and good customer service through the conversation with Hanip. Very good knowledge in Toyota vehicle that is the reason I took my car to him.

Hanip did a thorough check for my car when I brought my car to him due to a noise problem I had initially. He actually identified another issue which I was unaware of and was undetected by previous workshops. Did not charge me a single cent for the check. When I went back to rectify the problem, Hanip went all the way to Tuas to search for a bolt for my car that he said was compulsory otherwise it would be too dangerous to drive my car. As he could not find the bolt, he ordered one for me but it would only be ready the next day. As such, he insisted that I leave the car with him as he told me firmly there was no way he would let me drive home the car without it being safe. After picking up my car, there was indeed a great difference due to him rectifying many faults that had been undiscovered previously. Fast, responsive service with great honesty included. Hanip and his team clearly know their stuff and I am100% assured leaving my car in his hands. 2 thumbs up! Will definitely be back again!

My previous car(Honda Civic) was taken care by Hanip. Recently upgraded to a used Lexus after some good luck ;). Managed to sell my car easily thanks to Hanip and all the service records, sold it to his other customer also. When i bought my Lexus, got him to test it out and ensure it had no problems. He did this for free as i am his long time customer. Make me damn happy and love him long time also, got time come here write review liao.
Outstanding service with good prices (like they say pay peanuts get monkeys hahahaha), superb value for money. My Honda served me well, no problems at all after i sent my car to Hanip as previously it had some transmission issues, come to Hanip then all settle use the car for another few years never breakdown or give problem not even once. I call him the GOD OF CARS.
My new baby will only get sent to this temple for blessing. Keke. If you want to live without worrying about your car giving you problem then come here, confirm no problem one. If your car got problem means you not sending your car to correct temple. Kekekeke. - ROY, LEXUS RX450H

Sent my dads 2007 Toyota Wish in to Hanip to troubleshoot my faulty brakes. i had to fully depress the pedal to the floor for full effective braking and parking brakes were also non existent. all previous servicing had been done by my dad in JB. JB mechanics had tried to troubleshoot the brake problems but no avail. after inspecting my brakes, hanip discovered that my car had non-genuine oem pads installed which not only deteriorated faster than oem pads, but the pads also had damaged n abraded my rotors. hanip also discovered a component on the rear drum brakes had been installed in the wrong orientation. thank God i brought my car to him, now i can drive my car with full confidence that my brakes wud be able to stop my car effectively whenever i need dem.

My 2nd hand 2009 Toyota Wish car died while I was driving home halfway today. Managed to drag my car all the way to his workshop. His diagnostic tools could not find the fault but he was able to detect the fauly using his experience. His mechanics are also very experience and efficient. Turned out that it was my fuel filter clogged. I then requested for my fuel pump to be replaced as well since they are all being removed. Great deal!

This is how car servicing should be done. It's the benchmark for others to follow.
Hanip takes personal care of his customers. He responds quickly to enquiries and gets the job done fast. He's honest, transparent and takes the time to explain.
I've had the alternator and engine mounts replaced plus routine servicing. I feel more comfortable using Hanip than the main dealer - I get a much better price and know that I'm in safe hands. Plus I'm not treated like a number.

Hanip is the real deal. Truly honest and genuine. These are qualities which are expected from reputable businesses. However, the other important quality which are not very inherent in so many workshops is the fact that Hanip himself was trained by Toyota/Lexus, and was their Master Technician as well as their Diagnostic Specialist. This was what first attracted me to send my car in; the fact that i am getting the real deal and not some cockamamie self-proclaimed mechanic which was trained from god-knows-where, or some certification course from ITE. Without sounding so much as trying to sell him, let me explain why i am writing such glorious praises for this man who services my car. Firstly, he managed to solve an intermittent problem I had with my brakes. The previous shop i sent to convinced me to use "performance" brakes. The only results these brakes gave were noisy screeches and a THICK layer of soot on my rims. Hanip also managed to better my fuel economy and my car was very very smooth and silent after servicing. I swear i never had a better driving experience before the servicing with him. He also used an impressive original ECU scanner to scan my car. Best of all, The charges are also very very reasonable. Very satisfied and happy. Highly recommended. Have already went for 2 servicings with him, and also recommended him to all my friends and family.

Highly recommended. I've just sent my Estima Aeras for services at Hanip Automobile today. Hanip has impressed me with his personal touch. His workshop is clean and well equip. He's meticulous and skillful in his diagnostic. I can see that nothing is taken lightly when it comes to looking after my car. He's also provided advise on what to look out and maintenance tips. I value his service truly.
