Jake did a great job finding out why my front wheel was fixed a -ve 3 degree camber and manage to reduce it to -ve 2 degree with a change of the coilover camber bolts. He never give up to find the problem and gave his best to fix it.
My steering felt harder and the car felt heavier to drive after the alignment but a few days later with the tyres run-in to the new alignment, the steering was back to normal and the car felt planted and light.
Had 4 of my tyres changed today on my car (997 C2S). Run by 3 young chaps, all whom are personable, friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were in my opinion, reasonable. They were very patient with my car as I understand it takes a little more work to get under my car for alignment work. There's a small waiting room for you to wait while work's being done on your car. All in all, would return for my future tyre related needs.
I went there to get my tyres changed today. The service provided is very good. The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. Their products and services are priced reasonably. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely go back for future tyre changes.
Went to see Jake because of the number of positive reviews here and i felt a good vibe on the phone. .... Also, i had called like the top 15 other popular shops and the "uncles" were not that helpful with the usual, xian xia lai and let me see your car etc...
but, helloooo.... my car had a front left flat so how to come down to show you my car...???!!!
and what does it matter what car i drive when i am specifically requesting for a particular size tyre to be replaced...? duhhh
So, long story short, Jake came over to my place, lent me a spare tire for free.... WOW... then took my tyre to patch. Not replace, just patch...! good service right.... doesn't end there.... turns out, my tire was bulging on the side after patching, which basically means, tyre is dead. Jake then said only pay for mobile service because he couldn't patch tire and make it right. I was so impressed, i went on to tell him about my 20" DUBs project for my Jag, and saying how hard it actually is to find rims to fit my PCDs. Jake said "No Problem", we machine the right PCD onto similar fitting 20" DUBs... so woah.... that's pretty good service right... other popular shops in Ubi said, "let me check and i will call you back", which of course, that never happened. Maybe my business is too small for them.... 4 x 20" staggered Rims and 4 x low profile 20" tires.
Long story short again, had some tedious difficulty selecting perfect tire sizes to make the Jag Hellaflush, aka Fatlace, aka VIP Stylin'.... tedious because we are dealing with big ass 20" Dubs baby...! putting tires on and off 20"s requires some serous elbow grease and just looking at them made me sweat... KUDOS to the boys at AutoKinetics.... they worked overtime, sweat like hell, underwear wet wet... pulled them 20s on and off like it was lego... and fianlly i got my car Hellaflush.... and in between Jake and Team getting my fenders rolled etc... it was a pretty high key mission and we finished it on a high....
SO... although i am broke as hell, i shall now embark on the next poison, a big ass 360mm BBK for my fronts and something similar on my rears, all custom made by the boys at AutoKinetics. So, thanks Jake, Brian and Wee... (and some secondary school kids interning there for their holidays...yes, i am serious!!!) i am hooked on your toys at your shop and i only come back to get my fixes from you guys to get that smile on my face again when i leave your shop becasue your impeccable service and ideas are priceless....
I can only say that this is a 5 STAR shop with 5 STAR service. Wee & Jake really nice chaps and passionate plus knowledgeable about cars and tyres. All the best guys!!
Read their blog and decided to check out this shop. Did my wheel alignment there recently from their high tech 'Eva' alignment machine and very satisfied with the outcome. Very passionate young bosses who are knowledgeable and friendly. Will surely change my tyres there once they are worn off. Good job and thanks for straightening my ride!
Wana change my 16" civic tyres, Was contemplating betw kim hoe, soon huat and autokinetics. Kim hoe n soon huat din answer my call, and wee from autokinetics answered. I supposed its fate n good decision to get the dunlop VE302 from wee and co, great smile n svc from jake n wee. Not the best price in town but i feel at eased thru-out, wats more free rotation n tyre repairs. Got some issue wf my front tyre old bolt nut(cross-thread) n jake brought to wkshop to get it fix at cost price, no mark up. Keep me update of other charges involved, great follow up skills. Thou spent 4hrs there, get wat i want, a very quiet n reliable tyre, smooth journey back home. Thumbs up to all these young bosses, u make the difference! Hope u guys can expand ur biz further, ur unit not able to handle many cars, losing sales.
juz change my set here Dunlop DZ101-R16-225/55..price is good...more importantly the guys here are great, fantastic service and also gain quite a fair bit of tires knowledge in an hour. thumb up
