Hoppe Clutched April 4, 2006 Share April 4, 2006 Any bro knows where to get a good recon carb? My rpm's really going crazy and I think it's carb related... Occassionally, my rpm will rise above 2Krpm, and my aircon cut off. After a while, rpm drops and aircon kicks in... Only happens when car is stationary. ↡ Advertisement

Genie47 1st Gear April 5, 2006 Share April 5, 2006 See if you can fit a SU carburetor using a adaptor plate. Up north lots of new carburetors selling thanks to the Iswara and old Saga. Iswara is for 1.3L and Saga is 1.5L. This is what the Starlet owners are converting to.

Jonbummer Neutral Newbie April 5, 2006 Share April 5, 2006 hi again, wish i have money to change my ride.. but then again quite fun to drive this antique ard. can go slow and pple on road will usu understand think the car engine and all is quite good and steady. but a recent check wif one my fren who tried to tune the carburettor finds that only min can be done. unlike his previous one. so i was thnking if it's not exp or troublsome, i might like to replace one. cheers

Jonbummer Neutral Newbie April 5, 2006 Share April 5, 2006 when the hunting occurs, it happens regardless of air con is on or off. during then, i dread of driving. cos really afraid that it will just die on me on ECP/AYE! now it's back to almost normal... oh, i forgot to mentioned also i changed SP during that time too at Riverview Auto. he told me the guy who previously service my car use the wrong SP !!! but after that prob persists, till my fren took a look fiddle wif something, and the car is sick no more. PHEW... now i just hope for a clean joyful ride. cheers

Hoppe Clutched April 16, 2006 Author Share April 16, 2006 aircon relay? Is this expensive to repair? Suspect that it could be an aircon problem too. But my carb's definitely gone I think.
