Headshok 1st Gear December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 hi guys, just got back from bangkok.. snapped some pics of the toyota hilux for u guys... hey, it certainly is a nice truck man.... if u compare the interior of the hilux with the fortuner, all that differs is some of the 'wood grain' panel stuff.. fortuner got 'camery' feeling, seats more plush and stuff.. but its the same thing! haha... oo well.. i'll let the photos do the talking. overall, the hilux is NICE!!!! if i had the money, i'll get one.. though pple say with the 77k, u can buy so many other cars, like i tink someone said, where can u get a 2.7L turbo charged engine (though disel) for that price? but only bad thing is goin malaysia problem lah.. heheh.. aniway, enjoy. this one is the interior of fortuner the rest are the hilux pics. heheh.. ↡ Advertisement

Yaoxing 1st Gear December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 The thing that looks like a manual gear shift.... is it for changing the 4WD differential ratio? Remember seeing something like that in SAF rovers but smaller.

Rustycar Neutral Newbie December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 Nope. Legroom looks same or smaller to me. They launched the Mitsubishi Triton lately. Interior and exterior looks better than the Vigo.
Ara84 2nd Gear December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 they launched the triton already. I saw a ton of them when i was in thailand earlier this year. looks really good to me.
Fcw75 Hypersonic December 11, 2006 Share December 11, 2006 (edited) Not juz the woodgrain stuff, the aircon for Fortuner oso is climatic control whereas Hilux is manual one. But actually the matt silver dashboard is nicer than the woodgrain dashboard for Fortuner. Too bad the Hilux double cab sold here only got manual, definitely not as luxurious as the one shown...no leather seats only fabric seats and rubber mats. Btw, the Hilux is 3L intercooler turbo diesel engine, not 2.7L. Edited December 11, 2006 by Fcw75

Watwheels Supersonic December 12, 2006 Share December 12, 2006 Wow! Luxurious 4X4 pick-up! Got High & Low differential gearbox too. I remember going to X-country course during NSF days to learn to use the diffentials. I'm doubtful sg will ever see one.
Titanium 4th Gear December 12, 2006 Share December 12, 2006 (edited) I also like hilux, but the down point IMO is the speed limit... Edited December 12, 2006 by Titanium
Weiming 1st Gear December 12, 2006 Share December 12, 2006 I searched the net and discovered this Singaporean company, Commercial World, selling the Triton at http://www.comworld.com.sg/index_vehicles.asp Really love the Triton http://www.sonirodban.com/triton.html but unfortunately it will cost a bomb here in Singapore (esp. for the double-cab version). Fcw75 Hypersonic December 13, 2006 Share December 13, 2006 If you dun like the speed limit, you can register one as a passenger vehicle. ↡ Advertisement
