Radar Detector

Can someone advise the radar bands used by MY police?

Are you sure they use radar detectors for sg cars??? The only detection for me has been their eyes looking out for sg plates

i am using a cobra set...it works in sg but never seem to work in my...it never sound...but i was stop for speeding....yes...i was speeding anyway....i don't know how my check....or as what many will say....speeding or not they will stop you...if you really speeding....mostly will just pay...if you not speeding or challenge them for evident then probably they will just let you off....

i think such detectors will have a problem clearing customs. these type of thing could land a person in jail.

well, there will always be people who like to play with the law. they want to test the system and see got any loopholes or not.

u are using a radar detector in SG?

 

i strongly suggest you not do it, unless u like the confines of 4 walls in Changi resort. i remember very distinctly a case of a guy who had a radar detector went straight to jail.

 

FYI, there are radars to detect radar detectors.

 

anyway, mobile cameras are using laser technology, radar detectors are usually on patrol cars.

I intend to use it in MY. Why do you want to use this here? The roads aren't sufficiently long or wide for high speed runs.

I did a search on LTA website for radar detectors and no docs were found.

 

Anyway I know jammers are illegal but detectors should not be illegal. The act of having a detector does not equate to the act of speeding although you obviously intend to by having one

the detectors actually transmit signals too, so it contravenes the above act.

No more radar detector. Radar detector and cheap metal detectors are not allowed in my states.
