song yi

the atf is same for all hyundai atf. cheap and good specs.

no need flush at 20k. my old hyundai i drain and top up atf every 10k (yes, the atf is *that* cheap) until when my atf filter was removed at 90k, still look clean clean. [laugh]

try asking around club hyundai forum or getz forums [;)]

song yi is one of the stockist. there are others...

no need recommend brand... when you go by specs, the hyundai atf one does the job and is cheap.

of course, you are free to derive your opinions. just like some will pay a $100/quart for a 'titanium' brand engine oil for their korean car.

for me, anything under 200bhp doesn't need any pampering, and anything above 200bhp should be built to last [;)]

Song Yi only brings in parts. They don't do servicing.

Neutral Newbie

I bought my car more than a year ago. Quite happy with my Avante 1.6S, as it did not give me any problems so far.

As Komoco can void my 3 yrs warranty if I go to other workshops, I have no choice but to purchase their spa package after the 3rd servicing.

I sent my car for the 20,000Km servicing today, thinking I need not pay further. But I am wrong! I'm poorer by $231.70! They told me that I need to change my air-con filtering (~$60) and my car battery (~$170). Air-con filter change is fair enough but my car battery is barely 1+yr. I wonder if I'm being "ripped" off.

Thinking of going to other workshops for the next servicing, which I heard should be at least 50% less than what Komoco charges. Is the break of last year warranty worthwhile the risk? Also, any "recommended" workshops that specialise in Hyundai Avante?

Can try GSC Auto. www.gsc.com. Lotsa Avantes go there for their servicing. Im not in any way related to them though.

are you sure?

Battery warranty only 1 year or 20K km, whichever comes first.
