Kazuo Neutral Newbie August 24, 2008 Author Share August 24, 2008 400++? hmm... i just got a $500++ quote leh... where you got yours?
Kyojin 1st Gear August 24, 2008 Share August 24, 2008 as it's name implies, suspension is what keeps your car "suspended" - so you don't feel every bump and rut on the road. most suspension systems are made of springs and shocks. the spring is meant to absorb impact and the shocks (gan tong) are what prevents the spring from going "BOING!!!" most systems are coil springs over shocks, which gives the name coilovers. but most people use it interchangeably to refer to aftermarket performance suspension systems that come with spring and shocks. Ronnchee Clutched August 24, 2008 Share August 24, 2008 Thanks for the explanation bro. To lower the car, is to change the spring or entire coilover ??
Kyojin 1st Gear August 24, 2008 Share August 24, 2008 technically, to lower the car, you change the springs. but it depends on the spring rate of the new spring and the return rate of your shocks. that's why when people want to lower their cars, they generally change to aftermarket shocks too - or get a complete "coilover" set. Ronnchee Clutched August 25, 2008 Share August 25, 2008 Thanks for the info bro. Now have a better understanding of spring, shock and coilover. ↡ Advertisement
