Where To Find Cold Crab In SG

Hi All,

 

I have the sudden urge to eat cold crab.

I have eaten at Bendemeer & Chinatown long time ago but dunno if the restaurants still around.

Can anyone please advise where to find good & fair price cold crab?

For Chinatown it's the Teochew restaurant at Mosque Street. In fact I think most Teochew restaurant have the dish, it's like their specialty.

Actually.. you can make your own instead of paying like $25 a crab, not that hard to steam and chill.

the one at bendemeer is it under a hdb flat mear boon keng mrt?

if so,it is still around.

i had tried another one at AML building on the 1st floor,also very nice.

Swa Garden Teochew Restaurant along Macpherson Road. While you are there, make sure you leave room for the "or nee". It is seriously a MUST-TRY.

 

Damn, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it...

 

Swa Garden, definitely one of the best place for cold crab and yam paste [thumbsup]

I used to eat hairy crabs until I saw an articule on infected one, which carry lungs eating germs/bacteria. These China imported crabs are infected due to the containminated rivers that they lived in. Normal cooking will not kill them. After knowing how heartless China businessmen can to do their products particularly food, I've stopped touching them altogether. Also hard to tell whether you get to eat those from Hong Kong one or China one.
