Keep the AAM number.

Firstly call them and tell them that you are from SG and need cross-border towing service. Also tell them you are not an AA member. They will ask you to hold the line and then give you a contact. Call the chap who is actually a tow truck driver. Tell him your location and he will find you.

Towing charges from lets say JB is MYR250. They can tow it all the way to your SG workshop.

Now get this, your car is now "cargo" and will go through the lorry customs of JB and SG. So on the JB side, you cannot run away from this MYR200 "export fee".

So in total, the damage is MYR450.

The further up north you are the more it will cost. That is if you want cross-border towing service.

If it is local to a nearby workshop because it is the beginning of your vacation, you don't need the car and intend to soak up the sun in the resort, it will cost a lot less.

just to add

read under the AA membership info.

tolling from malaysia to singapore , is chargeable,

if you're on the NSH, tolling to the nearest exit will be provide by plus FOC, and then you'll have to make your own tolling arrangment from there.

Get your local workshop contact number. Any problem, give them a call and they should have their lobangs in Malaysia if necessary.
