I've got a question about email notifications.
Before the recent MCF forum "renovation", I used to receive email notifications if someone replies to a post I put up in any thread (whether or not it's started by me). But now, I don't get them. I tried going through "my controls" and looking for settings that'll turn that on, but don't seem to have any. I checked everything in "Email Settings", but it doesn't have the required effect. Is that function still available? -------------------- Find your hero. Then be a hero to someone else. |

Hi,
Try going to "My Controls" > "Email Settings". Tick "Enable 'Email Notification' by default?". This way, you will receive emails whenever someone replies to a post you put up in any thread (whether or not it's started by you). I would advise you to choose "delayed email notification" to prevent your mailbox from being flooded. -------------------- Refer to signature guidelines Works in progress... |

without 25 posts at at least cannot post new tread ah....... Over the years, we have seen spammers in our forum. This measure help us to curb such action where it enable us to track the posting behaviour. If one were to come in and clock 25posts within a day. After which, he/she start a thread and the thread happens to solicite/advertise a product/services. His account will automatically be disabled without any notice given. Should there be a need for you to start a thread to seek opinion from fellow MCFers, you can seek the help of others to help you to create such thread. Hi, Try going to "My Controls" > "Email Settings". Tick "Enable 'Email Notification' by default?". This way, you will receive emails whenever someone replies to a post you put up in any thread (whether or not it's started by you). I would advise you to choose "delayed email notification" to prevent your mailbox from being flooded. I got the email notifications to work. Thanks! However, the emails I used to get on the old MCF forums were notifications when people reply to MY post. The emails notifications I get now are notifying me of people's replies to the thread - not just to me. I want to only receive email notifications when people respond to MY replies, not notify me whenever there's any reply to the thread. Can't seem to find an option for this. It used to be the main reason I visit MCF, but now i cannot keep track of my posts. Solution? Thanks so much in advance! :) -------------------- Find your hero. Then be a hero to someone else. |
