Having driven both before, i think the Avante is a better deal in many aspects.. Here's my take:

FC: Avante

Ride: Avante

Handling: Avante

Interior Qlty: Latio

Quiet: Avante

Price: Avante

Gizmos: Latio

Space: Avante

Comfort: Avante

Of course, this is in my opinion.. I didn't get to really push the latio much though.. It was only for short-term point A-B driving..

My opinion here:

FC: Latio (alot is based on ur right foot. If you want to accelerate fast, latio is not a gd choice in this section)

Handling: Latio (Avante power steering is uber light man, not gd for cruising)

Interior Qlty: Latio (Made in Japan vs Made in Thailand)

Quiet: same

Price: Avante

Gizmos: Latio

Space: Latio (latio is HUGE inside. Try taking a seat behind and you will know it. Glove compartment is bigger also)

Comfort: Latio (the seats are very comfortable. Good for long journeys. Lots of drivers know it)

Nissan has a higher resale value too.

So what do u think?

In fact Latio should only lose up in exterior. I don't believe you did drive latio before... Latio is famous for the spacious cabin

Yes I agree. Driving a latio and very happy with the space it gives.

In fact, if you drive too much of latio, u feel that all other cars have downsized cabin space

Too pampered with the seats is not good. I feel uncomfortable sitting in an altis because the seats are low, I never notice this thing before I drive a latio. If ask me to change another mid-sized sedan seriously I don't know what to choose, too used to the space. If you notice how they design the seats, the front seats are elevated, can see big gap below the seats, back passengers can slot in their feet making them more comfortable since can stretch leg fully, I don't see it in other cars.

If you see the interior design, features, materials, it's worth every penny.

Ride: Avante

Quiet: Avante

Price: Avante

Gizmos: Latio

Space: Should be equal

Comfort: Avante

This is base on just driving around in my friends' Latio and Avante from test drive. Do not have a chance to push Avante on high speed to judge on stability and also handling so base on normal road condition I think this should be how it feels like.

With current pricing. The choice is Avante. The price gap is too huge that i can overlook it's shortcomings compare to Latio.

When I bought my Latio, the price was almost the same.

Made in Japan vs Made in Korea (not saying MIK no good but still have a small gap)

Latio High OMV 18-20k vs 11k Avante (affect resale, scape value)

TCM vs Komoco servicing (many said TCM not bad

Go test drive both, sit at passenger seats, feel the interior
