Iphone is a bit problematic compared to other phones.
Usually if drop into water, immediately remove the battery to prevent shorting.

Next if you can, open up the phone and clean up all the water.
If you ain't able to do that, then just leave the phone on open air with wind/fan blowing.
1-2 weeks later, all moisture should have dried up and you can safely use the phone.

Iphone and most expensive phones have moisture indicators which is a white round sticker. The dye on the sticker will turn it red/orange when it comes into contact with moisture, effectively voiding your warrenty. What you can do now is to wait for 1-2 weeks and then power on your phone to see if it works again.

I think to let it dry over a week is ur only choice!
Pray that the circuits inside are not shorted and damaged!
How to send for repair since the water indicator will tell Apple it was water
Damages!

Look on the bright side, it's a sign foe u to get the iphone4.

after half a day, on it back.... running without speaker sound... after a day or 2, sound came back... now the onli fault is that the battery inidicator doesnt show properly, the iphone off by itself if not charged.... no red warning...

will cost u a fair bit to get the refurbished phone, think about $300-$400 as water damage is not covered by warranty.

Don't bother sending to apple. If u can't wait, then send to ur neighbourhood hp shop, see wat they can offer. If u feel u r confident enough, no harm anyway coz ur phone might already be dead, go youtube n search, there are videos teaching u step by step how to "stand by iphone".

I dropped my 6110 navigator into water b4. Immediately removed the battery n dismentled the phone. normal phone function works, but the gps was dead. I used it for another 6 mths b4 getting a E71.

Hi Bro,

Apple iphone battery seem to be inbuilt, cannot be removed same as those for macbook.

Once apple battery die off,you can throw away the product.

There are 3rd party batteries available.
Only that you have to open up the phone and soldering is needed to change the battery.
