Adding a paragraph from BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11518079):

QUOTE
His interest in English football stems from his ownership of several Manchester United themed bars in Asia - which have persuaded him that there is huge global potential for making money from top-flight English football.

The idea of having ManU fans to fund our transfers sounds good. However, I would still prefer NESV for their experience and tack record of owning sports entities.

" Reports have claimed that Lim, like NESV, is offering to repay all of £200m of long-term debt, to take on £60m of other debt and to inject £40m of working capital. He has also claimed that this capital would come from his own fortune, rather than through borrowing. "

No borrowing, no debts, still provide working cap...isn't better?

There was a news report on his family few years back...his family stay in a condo...meaning whole building only their family! see backgd for one of his cars....

He owns an entire 11-storey block at prestigious Ardmore Park, near Orchard Road. He and his wife, with his 85-year-old mother, live in one apartment, while three other maisonettes and the penthouse sits empty.

To the Liverpool fans I dont think Peter Lim will be able to bid successfully for the ownership. Aside from Peter being a shrewd businessman, LFC is a British company aka English football club.

I remember once Qantas was in trouble and SIA was bidding aggressively to buy. In the end Qantas became part of British Airways. U got my drift?

Peter Lim promises 40m pounds transfer kitty for Roy Hodgson if his 320m bid is successful...

bad news for liverpool:

kuyt is out for the rest of the season while agger limped off in their dutch and danish games
