Heh heh , what is iPod iirc ? Learning something new every day. Thought u just need the CD-IU201S for apple connectivity ?? According to the Brochure I saw the 8450 did not indicate iPod integration.... Where the 4450 does..... Iirc= if I remember correctly But if selling at 850, it is a good bargain. Might consider to get one too..... Hmmmm -------------------- We are all full, but so yet to be filled. |

hmmm no ipod integration which means we cannot plug iphone to play on this player? even though we have the cable? btw.. any bro care to differentiate the differences between 4450 and this? many thanks! This AVH-8450BT definitely can connect to iphone. Further it has Advanced app mode and that MATRIX mode that 4450 doesn't have. Resolution is also much better. Check out the Youtube video ! |

a word of caution, i've bought the 4450 and playing videos off usb thumbdrives is problematic
the videos must be encoded at super low res to be able to run properly. even at ultra low resolutions sometimes the video just hangs and reboots my previous china made player was able to play these videos without problems. i'm talking about 40mb mtvs not 400mb episodes on normal VGA resolutions the player will pay fine for 30s then it'll hang, report that no usb device detected, then detects a usb drive and finally reads the drive and replays the video that means you get 30s of playtime then have to wait another 30s for the video to cycle itself again i believe it must be an out of memory issue, not sure if a firmware update can fix this problem but if the 8450 has the same hardware internals, you most certainly won't be able to take advantage of the higher resolution |

What a disappointment :(, if your purpose is to play movies off USB thumbdrives.
I can only hope the 8450 has a better hardware considering the price premium. Heh, can share about the interface.... iphone integration ?? Any positive comments ? a word of caution, i've bought the 4450 and playing videos off usb thumbdrives is problematic
