I am no pharmacy student but major considerations for orally ingested supplements should include

 

1. Bioavailability. Generally, bioavailability of supplements taken orally is much lesser than compared to other intravenous routes but i would expect significant variations between competing products from different pharmaceuticals

2. Quality of enteric coating used

3. Rate of dissolution (which partly depends on the type of formulation utilised.)

 

All are important considerations under pharmaockinetics.

 

This is meant for RB who is thinking of ingesting riboflavonoids and folate
