Hi guys, thinking of getting a 2nd-hand BMW 523i.

End-2007 car. Most of them have about 80,000 to 100,000km mileage.

I worry about the servicing.

What is the crucial expensive part that has to be changed at around this mileage?

So that I can check with the seller whether that has already been changed anot.

Please gimme your inputs. Thanks!

try bmw-sg?

if you want to get a E60 the important factor will be to have a good look at the servicing records. at 100,000km a lot of wear and tear parts might need to be replace soon and its not cheap. so must prepare and put aside some money for that.

as for workshop, you dont really have to worry because they are many good BMW workshops out there.

Be prepared to pay $2k. That's before changing fuel pump & alternator. Fuel pump & alternator tends to breakdown after 5 yrs.

Can let me know which wear and tear parts you referring to?

And the approximate costs?

no need, your on board computer will tell you, but by then , you could be stranded by the roadside and it always happens when you most need the car....hahaahaa

My previous 3er kena radiator.. The OBC alerted me and before I can go workshop my bonnet got smoke...or steam.. Because my radiator was leaking so the liquid turned to steam when it came out.. Got a shock..
