i buy from AD,
i spend more than you.

but
if there's any problem,
the solution should be just one sms away.

i prefer to buy "insurance"

Yeah but when the cost of a PI one is 50-60% the price of an AD one, I can almost buy two for the price of one. Those are some pretty good odds and I'll take the risk anytime.

As I say, there is no right or wrong. I quoted before, some like to buy from Courts while some like to buy from Sim Lim Sq. Does it matter??

exactly. We decide what we buy according to how we want. like PI vs AD

the power magic you referring to is used for blackvue is it? The rated max output for power magic for blackvue use is 1A. ITB-100HD only max 0.5A. Think is better to use the original one. But if you use power magic also will not harm the ITB100HD IMO. Just that it will charged up the ITB--100HD faster. Any bros can clarify this?

If my limited electrical knowledge don't fail me (I'm mechanical in training), even if the PM is rated to supply 1A, ITB-100HD will only draw 0.5A from it. Any bro can further clarify?

True. Warranty to me not so concern. Furthermore, there are warranty from PI. But need to bear freight charges which cost not too much. Probably less than $15 to Korea.
Most of the people will not be using the camera for too long. As new technology keep coming out. 1 year down the road, most likely will upgrade again. So bottom line, what so concern about warranty or non waranty.

Yes, u are correct.

The adapter can provide up to 1A but if the device use less than 1A, the adapter works less. If the device draw more than 1A, then the device cannot be powered up at all and the adapter may burn out.

Like a pot of cooked rice. I cook one bucket full of rice but u only eat one bowl of rice. No problem at all, go ahead and scoop ur one bowl of rice.

yes..correct..but i not worry about the current as PM can supply and support..but more on the cut off voltage of 11.8V which a bit risky...

No worries. PM is quite trustable. unless the battery life span is up than is different story.

I got mine from Ebay. Got it in 3 days and the price is about 40% cheaper even after including freight.

Boggles my mind to see how Singaporeans consistently like getting ripped off. If this camera breaks, sending it back to Korean is still cheaper than buying it locally in Singapore.

In fact, like what you say, buy one here, can buy 2 in Korea. So buy 2 lah! One break, the other replaces it!

18-48, better he gets another one to record inbetween. As I said the time between the 1 min files is negligible. I do not find any gap literally. However I can check later and confirm you specifically.

Confirmed, the gap is about a second. So no issues.

Today manage to get one of the workshop to help hooking up my new ITB100HD. Fast & good workmanship.
Total spend $60. $30 to set up my ITB100HD on the front, the other $30 to shift my existing DOD-tec from the front to my rear.
Less than 15min, done... biggrin.gif

So in total: $280 for my ITB100HD, ITV-80 (aka power magic) & shipping cost + $30 for installation. So in total $310.. Well spent.. laugh.gif

BUT... PI...

bro refresher, you using one power magic to front and rear set up? this saturday i m going to DIY install my ITD-100HD and a dual cam camera (waiting for the delivery) if it comes. Both my front and rear will act as survellie camera, the field of recording should be covered in all areas with the dual cam installed as rear.

I only installed 1 power magic for my front ITB100HD, to act as 24 hr. For my rear DOD-tec, I hook up to my rear ciggy socket. Only works when engine started.

Not sure about that. You will need to check with the installation workshop.
