Either you hadn't watched the video or you don't know what oversteer is.

The danger of oversteering :blink:

His front end was pushing wide - this is classic understeer. The front tyres lost adhesion first.

It looked more like understeer to me. The front wheels lost grip and the car couldn't follow the roadlines, and veered off the cliff edge.

Understeer is when you go over the cliff nose first.

Oversteer is when you go over the cliff ass first.

A four-wheel drift is when you go over the cliff juuuust right. [:p]

Can be quite confusing to some. I try to remember by this:

Understeer - you want to turn but whole car go straight, rear lost grip.

Oversteer - you want to turn but turns more than it should. Circle becomes oval.

Not exactly technical but it helps me.

Cheers!

There is an easier way to remember...

Under = NOT ENOUGH

Over = TOO MUCH

Under steer - not enough steering, run wide in the corner

Over steer - too much steering, hit the corner too soon, go too far into the corner, turn too far as the arse end slides out and you turn around backwards
