Ooosh 1st Gear August 2, 2013 Share August 2, 2013 The Audi A1 E-Tron uses a smart combination of electric motors and rotary engine to power the car. Although rotary engines are famous for the bad fuel consumption and reliability, it could be put to good use to power the electric motor and to provide extra juice when needed. This is a good way to revive the wankel dream, although it is no longer in production, it's technology could be put to good use in other ways! Very innovative.... Emissions wise, hybrids/Small cc with FI cars are the way to go in the near future... http://www.caranddriver.com/features/how-a...y-alive-feature ↡ Advertisement
4rings Clutched August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 its awesome that this car uses a rotary engine. The e-tron best lives up to the company's 'Vorsprung Durch Technik' mission statement.
