Dear All,

My car left close to 2 years before COE expire. Any recommendations for tyres? Currently I am on Bridgestone RE002, size is 225/45R17.

Prefer to change more economical brand/ model.

Thanks!

2 years is a long time wor. An average driver can clock 30k km mileage, just nice to change a set of new tyres. So I recommend to change a normal brand one. If budget is your concern, maybe can choose Korean brands. Essentially, tires are the only point of contact for a car to ground, try not to save for the sake of your safety..

My yearly average mileage is about 20,000 KM.

How about tyre manufactured in 2012? Safe to use?

PM-ed you my recommendations for economical and value for money tyres :)

hi, it would certainly be desirable to get the freshest tyres you could find. :D

I am currently using Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. they were only six-month old when i bought them. definitely cheaper than either Bridgestone or Michelin. made in Japan. good in dry or wet condition. decent wear rate and acceptable road noise.

I think most brands would suit you just fine for 2 years of usage.

after 2 years, just nice tires wear out liao. Car also can scrap. swee swee!

If you prefer longer lasting tires, you may consider the comfort range tires as the wear rate is lower.

That's too old, I would only accept 2014 tyres now. 40k mileage is more than enough to wear out 1 set of tyres, get a good one and use it all the way.
