Immotive 1st Gear February 25, 2017 Share February 25, 2017 I love my current car but at the same time I wanted a new car. Is there any way that I can transfer my car to a Malaysia registered car? ↡ Advertisement
Jamesc Hypersonic February 25, 2017 Share February 25, 2017 If you getting a new car just park your old car at Plentong Giant. They will take the car away and fix all the parts to a Malaysian registered car. Especially Vios and Altis. Just get the bus back.

Benarsenal Turbocharged February 25, 2017 Share February 25, 2017 What do you want to do with your old car? Continue driving or just keep? Continue driving then your only choice is renew COE. If you just want to keep it around I think you can deregister and not scrap it. Just need to take out engine and some other parts I believe.

Benarsenal Turbocharged February 25, 2017 Share February 25, 2017 I want to transfer that to my Friend in Malaysia :) it still can continue to run for many years there. Then your only option is to deregister and export. But export to Malaysia is very complicated one.

M'sia won't allowed Cars older than 3 years to be import......If can,my friend will buy my Rover75 in 2009,my car is in mint condition, only 38,000km. Then your only option is to deregister and export. But export to Malaysia is very complicated one. Benarsenal Turbocharged February 25, 2017 Share February 25, 2017 From LTA, they allow export to Malaysia: https://www.onemotoring.com.sg/content/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/de_register_a_vehicle/de-register/exporting_of_vehicle.html However it seems like it's the Malaysia side that is troublesome. Got a lot of requirements and paperwork, and also possibly need to pay a lot of taxes: http://www.simbashipping.com/shipping-destinations/malaysia/rules-and-regulations/
