Hi Kelpie,

I've test driven a 307SW. Its a pretty well equiped car. Can get quite good 2nd hand deal around.

+ive [thumbsup]

+ Unique, the first car to have panaromic glass roof

+ Quality built and design makes it looks higher class than the jap rivals.

+ Spacious front.

+ Suprising decent factory sound system compared to most makes. Quite a joy to listen to Jazz music

+ Quality interior materials and built

+ Well designed and sculptered seats and quality leather

+ All seats can be folded and removed - flexible.

+ There is a tray behind each front seat for the middle row passenger

+ Bright headlamp clusters + Auto headlamp + Auto rain sensor + Tiptronic gearbox + auto Aircon

-ive [thumbsdown]

- Middle row don't feel spacious, prob bcos they come in individual seats.

- Rear seats strictly for small kids

- No rear aircon

- Very cumbersome to fold the seats especially when trying to get in the rear seats

- Suprisingly Sound insulation not that good

- Ride not as comfy as expected

- Pick up is expected: slow

- Sadly 307 is surveyed as one of the most problematic cars in Europe, dunno why. [:/]

- Depending on what you think is good FC, it averages 10.5km/l(1.6l). Reasonable for a heavy car as this but bad for 1.6l

I've driven my colleague's SW a couple of times and here's my impression about it:

Build - this was initially a surprise to me as a first look gave the impression of a plasticky interior. Finishing pretty good (tho' I still can't get used to the wide expanse of spray-painted silver centre console), nice chunky steering wheel.

Drive - very car-like (but of course, considering it's technically a wagon with extra seats) with ditto driving position.

Toys - loads of them. Rain- and light-sensor, trip computer....

Seating - to me, it's a 5+2, as the rear seats really can't accomodate anything larger than full-sized hobbits for decent journeys. And, yes, those rear seats (that don't fold flat) and really heavy and not very suited for pigeon hole dwellers, imho. It shouldn't be too much a problem if I had my own garage.

And, oh, I so love the near-full length glass roof.
