Steelblue Neutral Newbie November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 Not worth it, underpowered and battery won't last long
Jlim Clutched November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 but I heard that for application and buffing of wax ok.
Genie47 1st Gear November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 Make sure you buy a deep cycle battery to install into your car too.
Ivan96935sg Neutral Newbie November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 I'm worried that the improper usage of electrical buffer will damage the entire paint work..... still prefer to engage outside grooming or DIY
Kwongwing Neutral Newbie November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 Hi! Since u mentioned it - any deep-cycle batteries that u can recommmend apat from the Optima Yellow-Top?
Genie47 1st Gear November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 Either that or Rolls which are freaking big monsters. use the Optima if your battery tray can accept it.
Tyming Neutral Newbie November 21, 2005 Author Share November 21, 2005 I am trying to use it to remove some minor swirl, waterspot, ----> I don't think my hand can survive too long process --> eg, Scratch-X, SRP, Sealant, wax,... Last Saturday/Sunday i did, Saturday (wash/clay/KIZZ R), Sunday (quick wash, SRP, sealant, wax).......hand now like bodybuilder...hehehe full of aching muscle.... Darn, hope HDB can include a powerpoint in the carpark like the washing bay, pay to use the electric.
Toalson 1st Gear November 21, 2005 Share November 21, 2005 If they have those paid power supply I would definitely love it
Joyer Neutral Newbie November 24, 2007 Share November 24, 2007 I normally use 220V powered B&D polisher and it works very well due to the strong power. However I moved into a HDB apartment and could not find the power point in MSCP near by. Anyone in Bukit Banjang knows the MSCP with power point please refer it to me as I really like the DIY to serve by my car.
Maddriver 4th Gear November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 dun take the risk.. get a batt generator.. is abt 200 plus.. light weight.. you just need to recharge after use that oil.. not petrol type
Joyer Neutral Newbie November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 I mean I can pay for the use of the power point. using a battery generator might not be good. I also thought of getting a 12V->220V inverter which costs about $50 with 3 hrs operation for the 60W polisher. But it might be more straight forward to buy a 12V polisher but not sure whether it could do the job. I know there is a coin operated vacuum machine in Mobile gas station near Choa Chu Kang. I will go there and check whether they have a power point there java script:%20x()
Maddriver 4th Gear November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 a 12v polisher is good for apply waxes..not defect removal.. A battery generator when fully charge can last about 5 to 6hrs..and best is lighter
Marcng Neutral Newbie November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 i think not powerful to wax ur car and some mscp got power supply one for ur info..........
Root Neutral Newbie November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 battery generator, sound interesting ... got more info?
Joyer Neutral Newbie November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 The inverter I mean is the one with lighter and will convert the 12V to 220V with 300W power. Maddriver's reference might be the same. Yeah, I know some MSCP has the power point but just do not know anyone near Bukit Banjang. The MSCP near my apartment does not have one.
