erm... http://www.chans.com.sg/rates.htm ... me not agent... rented from them... service quite good... cars well groom.... think can negotiate ba.. if renting for 1-2 months...

just my offer of alternative.... [:)]

i second Chan's. Speak with Alvin, I've been renting from him for the last year every time I return to Singapore. Good service, don't know if cheapest in town but competitive.

Tks puffer..

But as my previous post stated.. i only need a car at late night hours..

and i mean really late.. as in 2 am to 4 am.. Nightly.

This doesn't make it worthwhile to approach a car rental company.

With the current market rates I don't think you can get a short term rental of 1 month plus at less than 1k per month. Good luck and maybe try to be more realistic.

If you have any car owner friends who owe you a favor now is probably a good time to use it.

Really cant really find less than 1k for 1 month car rental now. Even you rent those 8-9 year old car, cheapest 1 month rental still need about 1000-1300k.

Ya I know, cheapest quotation from those legal car rental company is $1200/month for a small car like Getz, to me i'm ok just for temporary drive.

Just wondering is there any bros out there might not need their car for that month so that can rent to me for some extra money...me is a safe driver..more than 10 years driving experience, full 24 demerit points, NCD at 50%.... [cool][cool]

hi sorry hijack ur post.

would like to hear opinions from the floor.

we want to test out whether we can afford a car. so we decided to give ourselves a trial period before committing to buy a car.

option 1

wanted to rent a car for a year (vios/latio) and quotation given is about $840 per month for a year. on top of that we need to pay our own maintenance every 6 months. which is about $100+ per visit.

option 2
or should we just buy a 9 year old car left with 1 year usage? how much would it cost per month after deducting the scrap value

driver profile: license for 5 years and within a year separately. car insurance doesn't differ much since i rarely drive within 5 years
