Elfenstar 3rd Gear April 25, 2006 Share April 25, 2006 (edited) using gantans 195/55R15 e.g. 195 is the tire width in mm 55 is the sidewall profile as a percentage of the tire width (55% of 195) and 15 is the size of the hole in the middle Edited April 25, 2006 by Elfenstar
Gantan88 Clutched April 25, 2006 Share April 25, 2006 In layman's understanding: 195 is the tire width in mm (bigger number means tire bigger) 55 is the profile as a percentage of the tire width (higher number means more grip on the road, and more bumpier yr ride will be) and 15 is the size of the hole in the middle (bigger the number, car will be more chio and sportier) Hahaha. RIght?

Elfenstar 3rd Gear April 25, 2006 Share April 25, 2006 195 is the tire width in mm (bigger number means tire bigger) > not really just that its wider if you look from behind the car also means more grip on the road than smaller numbers. 55 is the profile as a percentage of the tire width (higher number means more grip on the road, and more bumpier yr ride will be) >opposite lah... smaller number = stiffer sidewalls so better grip while cornering. and 15 is the size of the hole in the middle (bigger the number, car will be more chio and sportier) > hope so.... but some ppl choose ugly rims so end up making the car ugly
