Today caught in the JB custom jam and suddenly my aircon when kuku....

Every time when the aircon cut-in, my rpm went up to 1500rpm for 5-6 sec before drop back to normal. After about 1/2hr in the jam, it went up 1500 rpm and stay constant, i got to off the air-con to get the rpm down to 600rpm idle.

Anybody knows what is the problem? or any aircon workshop to recommend?

Guess markcool if u staying in the north.

prob just the actuator acting up. Maybe just needs an adjustment?

Better let the expert look at it.

I had a hyundai long ago (carb car) that did that to me once. I managed to find the screw to adjust & it was fine after that.

If your car got ECU, it cud b different.

I am experiencing a similar problem to the TS.

Was stuck in the Causeway Jam. Noticed that my engine RPM rose up to 1500 RPM

for a brief while.

After this, the aircon wasn't cold and blows warm air.

I turned it off and turn it back on few mins later and the same thing happened.

Anyone has experienced this before?

Any idea what is causing it to react this way?

Thanks!

Their prices are reasonable and they able to help you out with any air-con problem as they are in this line for many years, they even do coaches and lorries.

I let them vacuum and recharge air-con gas, charges is $32.10 with GST.

It happened to my car. Initially, after I on/off/on off the car, aircon will be cold again. Subsequently the frequency increase, but not frequent like everyday but once a week. Didnt bother about it until one point not cold at all no matter on/off how many times. brought to workshop at AMK autopoint, was told problem with a magnetic switch. Didnt replace, just serviced it for $30 and aircon is ok till today. Dunno how long it will last though.

Neutral Newbie

Hi

I have a problem here. My air con will not be cold if i station my car for too long , of course with engine running. This happens when there is a traffic jam. Subsequently, if the car is to start moving , it will not be cold either. What i got to do is to turn off the air con and turn on again. Then it will be cool again.

Singapore is really too hot to drive around if your air con is not good enough, especially nowadays.

What is really happening ? Can someone enlightened ? Give me some advice on this issue and also give me a contact of a reliable car air con mechanic. I have heard stories the mechanic trying to MAKE a SMALL PROBLEM look big. In end, they will ask you to change every spare part, which is not affected also.
