Ghostrider 3rd Gear January 25, 2007 Share January 25, 2007 Power Cut ? You mean the speed limiter ? Simple lah....a after market ECU will do the trick.
Secondhand Neutral Newbie January 25, 2007 Share January 25, 2007 that's the thing... If can understand more, maybe no need get the aftermarket ECU leh... No need get into 'legal' issues...

Ghostrider 3rd Gear January 26, 2007 Share January 26, 2007 power cut is a pre set parameter on the factory ECU. If you want to remove that, you gotta either tap into the factory ECU or change the ECU altogether. Piggyback system like Obit & Apexi SAFC can remove the speed cut and change the parameter like your fueling etc to extract more power or lean out the mixture etc... A replacement ECU is required if you do extensive mods to your engine...like turbo upgrade, high compression, bigger injector etc...it allows you to remap the whole engine parameters to suit the new setup. Stuffs like Motec, HKS F Con series are replacement ECU. On the part like handling, there is no fast rule about the setup like your camber how much, toe in/out how much etc...Rebound rate of the suspension etc...just too possibility. My own rule is...for handling... Rear -ve camber 2-2.5 degree front -ve 1- 1.5 suspension not the hardest...my own general rule is...the smoother the road, can use harder setting. Cos if road is not so smooth...suspension too hard, tyre will be bounching all over the road instead of staying planted on the road...bad for handling. Satinepink Neutral Newbie January 26, 2007 Share January 26, 2007 my fav would be the comparison between the SU Carb, Weber and EFI.
Pisces69 6th Gear January 26, 2007 Share January 26, 2007 Webber for beautiful music & easy mods to jetting. SU easier maintenance free usage & EFI is a flatter torque curve. Of course carbs r better for top end lah. So for u maybe carbs r better.

Pisces69 6th Gear January 27, 2007 Share January 27, 2007 Too bad not many carbs left. Now all cars use EFI to pass the emission tests.
