Unltd 5th Gear March 15, 2007 Share March 15, 2007 My car has light on for speedo even if the headlights are off. Honda Civic.... I also forgot to switch on once when I started driving and was stopped at road block. It was quite hilarious, the officer told me to pull over and get down. I asked what is wrong and if I am suspected of drink driving (I do not drink drive), he told me turn around and look at car. I turned around and look and ask whats wrong, he jokingly told me look closely. I still did not see it, then he said I must be blur and that my lights are off. Then I realised only too late, think it was too funny cause he did not book me and laughed then asked me to drive off and to rem to switch on lights at night. Jacf Neutral Newbie March 15, 2007 Share March 15, 2007 hi all : recently , i seeing more cars driving at night without any lights on . i think there it could be the EL meter which leads the driver thinking it is ON . or there is too much dependance on the auto light function . maybe these drivers got " infra- red" vision .... no need light at all ... happened a few times to me when i was leaving lighted MSCP or building carparks.. my car got optitron meters which are bright at all times.. plus covered car parks are so bright hence forget to switch on headlights.. even as hit the streets also never noticed until some period cos SG roads are simply well lit.. only times i remember to switch on headlights when start engine is when i moved off from open space car parks... Sosaria Turbocharged March 15, 2007 Share March 15, 2007 Majority of the roads here are very bright, very well-lit, which contributes to the problem of people forgetting to switch on vehicle lights when driving at night. I guess they will only realize it when driving through some really dark roads

When I see such cars, I always try my best to alert them This is different. Some ppl do forget to turn off their headlights, esp when you are preoccupied with tearing coupons or other stuff after you stop the car. I have before too. Luckily my car has the auto-off feature when my engine is off so my batt didn't go flat. But I have never ever forgotten to turn on my headlights. Shouldn't it be standard procedure to turn on your lights before moving off at night? When you enter your house at night, can you possibly forget to turn on the lights? It's pretty obvious whether there's a beam of light from your car on the road or not. Edited March 15, 2007 by Icekitten
Sony 1st Gear March 15, 2007 Share March 15, 2007 some stupid car is speedometer on but still headlights not wired to it one...must switched on manually... Sony 1st Gear March 15, 2007 Share March 15, 2007 Strange.. when we talk about fog light and HID, people said that the local road is so nicely lit that there isn't a need to use even headlight.. now when people don't turn on headlight, people also have their fair share of grouse... Putting the 2 thread together will show something interesting.. ↡ Advertisement
