Paddie 3rd Gear May 25, 2007 Share May 25, 2007 Don't believe everything on Wikipedia! There's no way a C6 weighs so much. The figures probably refer to maximum laden weight. This is probably more accurate: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=220 1816-1871kg
Fondue Neutral Newbie May 25, 2007 Author Share May 25, 2007 Not much info as of now .... heard the car only arrive at the facility today, and the official launch is gonna be sometime in Oct 07. But heard its gonna be price against the E-class, so prob will be a few grands cheaper. If I have the money and the car is as easy to maintain as the E-class, I'll take the C6 anytime .... Rickster 5th Gear May 28, 2007 Share May 28, 2007 (edited) Usually people who make such comments are run-of-the-mill jap car owners Edited May 28, 2007 by Rickster
Dlar2 Neutral Newbie May 28, 2007 Share May 28, 2007 You can't blame them. I am also a Jap car owner but is looking closely at Conti cars, but still dare not take the plunge. Why? Because when we do some research (as in my case) when I look up Opel Astra forum, I got a rude shock of my life. Their MTA gear box can fail to engage gear and the car lose power, most of the complaints are fairly new cars....See it in Opel forum. No doubt, interior finishing is top notch but reliability is still . These are the incident that make Jap car onwers like me worried and think twice, 3x, 4x and still waiting at the sides and do not dare to take the plunge. Rickster 5th Gear May 28, 2007 Share May 28, 2007 Well, thats the reason why i made that comment in my posting There has to be come trade-off here and there. You pay more for the comfort, features, handling & safety for a conti. I agree, generally, contis might not be as reliable as their jap counterparts, but one has to see beyond factors like reliability when buying a car. ↡ Advertisement
