Carlover76 Neutral Newbie June 25, 2007 Share June 25, 2007 I understand that some of you might have pump those air-con gas into your car air-con and I heard that it will help to lubricate the air-con system to prevent over-stressing of the air-con compressor, is this true? Can anyone advise me whether do new car need such treatment? ↡ Advertisement
Ghostrider 3rd Gear June 25, 2007 Share June 25, 2007 Those are not aircon gas alone... Those contain a mixture of aircon gas and compressor lubricating oil. And if you get those reputable brands like BuddyClub...it does work. Aircon is cooler and when compressor cuts in, it does not shudder and jerk so much. Pisces69 6th Gear June 25, 2007 Share June 25, 2007 If your car is new & u don't have any problem with your AC, don't do anything to it. Just leave it otherwise u might make it worse. They fiddle with your new ac & for sure very soon u wil have problems with it. Only when u go for your AC maintenance/service when the AC is not cold anymore, remind the mech to add some compressor oil. Most mech already know what to do unless u end up going to those "Mickey Mouse" ac ws.
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie June 25, 2007 Author Share June 25, 2007 Oh, thanks for all your reply and I heard from Buddy Club that they are no longer selling the Air-Con lubricant anymore.
Pisces69 6th Gear June 26, 2007 Share June 26, 2007 As what I always feel if a product can't stand the test of time, it can't b that good. Anyway just beware of gimmicks. Some might do some good but the cost cancels out any benefits. Some r of no good at all buy don't cause any harm. The most dangerous r those that damage your car & cost u $$$ too. Jusnel 6th Gear June 26, 2007 Share June 26, 2007 new car no need la.... anyway, new car under warranty.... compressor spoil, just change new one.... but however, new car still to service the compressor once a year. this is where the lubricate oil comes in. but let the AD do it.
