Hi Tanjkp,

Did U upsize d rims on ur Allion?

What side effects will it have if I upsize to 16 inch?

[confused]

Sorry if taken so long to see this.

I changed to 15" rim using 185/65 maintaining the size from the orig 14" 185/70.

To change to 16" will mean the choice of tyres are mostly 205 and above as most shops carry the size for the rims.

For 1.5 run on 205 will be very heavy to start off and slow for pick up due to more friction. On top of that my experient with 16" 205 was very bad that within < 2yrs tyre can go up lorry.

How come no PI bringing in the 1.8 and 2.0 version ?

The price will kill potential buyer since it most likely will cross higher than Civic 1.8L.

Though it will get Dual VVti that equal to iVtec, no one will guarantee the FC be as claim now in the adv. Those who were lured (or con) into buying FD with the belief of 14k/L can tell.

BTW, was told the Wish 1.8L FC is better than FD (5AT) even with only 4spd AT.

Simple, if the 5 spd overdrive/overall gear ratio is not more superior than a 4 spd AT, even with 5 also cannot be better FC.

A fnd's brother claimed his Wish is running at 14 k/L.

For the 1.5 VVTi to drive 1200kg, will it stress the engine/gear box ?

Well, stress that will cause wear will only tell when time come (maybe few yrs later but can't say if due to ur reason then).

Will the Dual VVTi able to give better FC ?

Not sure how good it is. I know that Wish with normal 1.8 VVti so far was said to be quite economical but don haf exact figure.

My experience with 1.8L was a bit disappointed. Bought the FD believing from the info and data and "claim" from the factory figure of 14 kpl but ended with best 11+kpl.

So now just go back to the good old 1.5L better as it sure give >13.

11+ is not impressive. thot that civic's fc is better.

For using in city driving, it will not be good as FC will drop more. For outstation on highway will be good.
