If its coming to sg, probably we will only c the 2 litre turbo version. Price starting from US$19900. ie, come sg about sgd 28k (base on current exchange rate). Which means pricing should be somewhat higher than the current tuscani, but not that much higher. [sly]

if the omv is 28k expect the car to be priced above 100k, which to me becomes quite pointless to buy a hyundai in that price bracket cos there are many other cars

Well, u ve to consider one other fact that this is a rwd sports coupe. Even if its priced at 100k, its probaby one of the cheapest turbo rwd coupe u can get. The other coupe which is available new is the s2k, but its at least 120k++.

My gut feel is that if kmc brings this car in, it would be marginally lower than 100k. After all, like what u said, if its above hundred k, there are other more tempting options. I for one might opt for a legacy instead, if its going to be same price. Then again, its a 100k for a rwd coupe. [rolleyes]

komoko will downspec the car until it becomes affordable eg, 80-90k,

US20k is the sale price, inclusive of dealers margin. the real cost price to dealers should be ard 14-16k USD, so OMV is about 22-25k.

$100K is RX8 area

The new FL Tuscani is not selling well because it is expensive and looks wise quite dated. People will rather go for the FD Civic

$70K to $80K should be appealing, else people would rather go for the $78K WRX

hmmm GEMA derived engine... wouldn't that mean it would have a similar engine to the new Lancer EX's 4B11 block? [sly]

sounds like the Evo X 4B11T engine will be a popular swap in the future. [laugh]

100k is too high ... 85k would be more reasonable for sub 25k OMV.

S2k at 120+k has OMV of around 40k?

Of late, the Korean cars are trying to priced near the Japanese and look at their sales volume? miserable. If they bring in this one and try to tag a fancy price then they are asking for trouble. If they want to turnaround, they need to do something to their bread and butter cars quickly. They should be holding back the coupe as how many can they sell here? Singapore is just a different market from the US or the Europe.

Post: actual model will not look like this right?

I think this video will answer your question very well. Hyundai say the production model is very close to what u see here, but production have no black CF bonnet and other bling bling stuff like the show car. Is up to the owners to mod it themselves. In production by early 2009.
