Friends offering me to take up her car.

Value as follows;

Open Market Value: $15,567.00

PARF Eligibility Expiry

Date: 04 May 2015

PARF Rebate Amount: $12,843.00

QP Paid: $18,000.00

COE Rebate Amount: $13,219.00

Total Rebate Amount: $26,062.00

Car is accident free (see the car since it was borned).

Problem is interior have wear and tear (button's becoming sticky and fading off etc), and since it's conti car, spare part and servicing will cost more? (6 more month to 3 years, so no more manufacturer's warranty)

what should be a good price that I should offer her?

All the buttons are covered by warranty and can be replaced FOC.

But do check if the warranty is transferrable from old owner to new owner... just in case there's such restriction.

Why not u ask her to change first then u take over?

in fact if u pay her extra 3k to 5k more... it may end up like 32k liao... but if u minus off say 6k of parf, u r actually driving it at 26/7 a year... only less than 4k. however, looking at this situation, its not so worthwhile bcos of the 18k COE. u r paying unecessary money to gov. unless u can reduce the extra...to a level where its closer to 3k dep, then u have a great deal.

BTW ur parf rebate is as at NOW?
