Kelpie 2nd Gear December 17, 2007 Share December 17, 2007 Hi all, 1. Anyone have experience using with this tyre? Seems to a budget tyres with high performance and quite highly regarded in some tyre review websites. 2. Any idea of an indicative pricing of 225/45R17? Thank you very much. Orac Clutched December 17, 2007 Share December 17, 2007 (edited) Hi, I just change from 205/55/16 to 215/45/17 ku31 few weeks ago. tread wear is 320, so I think can last quite sometime. I have been using my 16" ku31 for 1yr 3mths, 20k+ mileage, before changing to 17s. My old 16s still good except for a little uneven wear at the edge on front left tire due to cornering + driving up/down mscp slopes (that was what I was told). Its graded as UHP tires but good enough for normal roads. Not the most quite tires, but ok by me. Relatively good on dry and wet if you do not corner like speed demon. Has not experience hydroplaning on these tires, maybe becoz I dont drive >100kmh on wet days. Price wise, one of the most affordable 17s UHP, at 140 a piece (made in Korea). Oh its has nice "escta" wordings in the middle of tire (not as if it helps in anyway! ) Cheers Orac Edited December 17, 2007 by Orac
